119: myCryptoWallet / Jaryd Koenigsmann

Crypto Down Under

myCryptoWallet was founded by Jaryd Koenigsmann in 2017 and is a digital currency service and marketplace based in Melbourne, Australia. The platform currently enables purchasing and trading of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, XRP and Power Ledger. In 2019 the company became Australia’s first zero-fee platform, and launched myCryptoCard, a first-of-its-kind debit card that allows consumers to spend their cryptocurrency at more than 1 million locations and withdraw money from 30,000 ATMs across Australia. myCryptoWallet also intends to add 50-plus new coins to the platform to offer even more opportunities and flexibility of cryptocurrency enthusiasts

Jaryd founded myCryptoWallet without any external funding, instead bootstrapping the entire project by selling his cars. Since 2017, he’s become a prominent cryptocurrency identity in Australia, leading the creation of the industry’s Data Privacy Policy that will be adopted by Australian exchanges in 2019.
